"Friends of Whitten Center" is a 100% volunteer, 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that raises money for the Whitten Center. The Whitten Center is a residential facility for people with developmental disabilities and special needs in Clinton, S.C. 100% of our profits go to the Whitten Center Parents Club to be used as they deem necessary.
We are Friends of Whitten Center. A group dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities and special needs who reside at Whitten Center in Clinton, SC. We collect money to give to the Whitten Center Parents' Club through Poker Runs, Golf Tournaments, Bike Rally's, Auctions and other events.
In the past, these funds have been used to purchase items that are needed but inaccessible due to the limited funds of the state. Our donations have purchased a new bus, stimulation carts, sponsored a horse-back riding program, funded various trips for the Whitten Center residents, and paid for other expenditures deemed necessary by the Whitten Center Parents' Club.
